OIG’s FY 2026 Work Plan details ongoing and planned audits, evaluations, and inspections designed to drive positive change within the U.S. Department of State (Department), the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), and the U.S. Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC). The newly released plan responds to several issues that emerged during OIG’s oversight activities in FY 2025, including the Department’s significant reorganization efforts and the greatly increased number and scale of foreign assistance programs it administers.
