Under SBA’s Native 8(a) program, government contractors owned by Alaska Native Corporations (ANC), Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHO) and Indian Tribes have the opportunity to participate in SBA’s 8(a) business development program under special rules. We have put together an expert panel of government contractors owned by ANCs, NHOs and Indian Tribes, to share their unique insights and perspectives from SBA’s Native 8(a) program, including how participation differs between ANCs, NHOs and Tribes. Topics of discussion will include corporate structuring challenges/strategies, affiliation exemptions, sole source contracting, 8(a) applications and life after graduation, and the intersection between federal/state laws and tribal laws/ treaties.
