The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program is in the middle of its roll out. The program, designed for the Defense Industrial Base, will require all Defense contractors to obtain a third-party cybersecurity certification as a condition of competing for contracts. DOD, in conjunction with OMB, is expected to release a revised DFARS rule soon and initiate the rulemaking process, providing industry the opportunity to formally provide input and comment on the impact of the proposed rule.
