Miles & Stockbridge seeks an associate attorney with 2 - 7 years of government contracts experience, preferably in a private law firm practice, to join the firm in either their Washington, D.C., Tysons, VA, Rockville, MD or Baltimore, MD offices. Candidate should have relevant experience including: working knowledge of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s socioeconomic government contracting programs, including the small business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, 8(a) Business Development, and HUBZone programs; experience supporting procurement fraud investigations and related litigation; experience prosecuting and defending bid protests before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and GAO, as well as appeals before SBA's Office of Hearings and Appeals; and general counseling on government contracts-related business and regulatory issues.
Successful candidate will be a high performer who can demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients; have excellent academic credentials; be diligent and detail-oriented; and demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively.
