The California Privacy Protection Agency was established by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020. The CPRA requires the Agency to adopt final CPRA regulations by July 1, but the agency will not take over the California Attorney General’s rulemaking authority until April 2022, leaving it only three months to do it.
