Ty Schieber, the senior director for executive education at the University of Virginia’s Darden School Foundation, will be chair of the accrediting body for the Defense Department’s upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. The rest of its 13 members will be selected by the end of January, coming from the defense industrial base, the cybersecurity community, and academia. DoD officials also report that the CMMC standard itself is on track to reach a final version.
