Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation Agrees to Pay $5.2 Million to Settle Allegations of False Labor Charges

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation has agreed to pay $5.2 million to resolve its alleged False Claims Act liability for falsely billing labor under contract with the US Postal Service. NGSC provides information and technology services to commercial and government customers, including the USPS.

The Enterprise Technology Services Contract with the USPS required NGSC to provide qualified labor and management services to augment information technology services at USPS data centers around the country. NGSC billed for personnel performing these services using hourly rates established for each of more than 100 categories, but allegedly billed for certain personnel who did not have the education and/or experience identified by these categories.
