On January 31, Nichols Liu held another Town Hall in response to the foreign assistance executive order.
Nichols Liu partner Robert Nichols stated that the firm has found a plaintiff to challenge the non-payment of invoices and the suspension of grants and cooperative agreements. The industry is being called upon to support the effort. He explained that Nichols Liu has developed a possible method to retain employees and minimize financial risks during the stop-work periods. Moreover, he noted that the firm is in discussions with banks and lenders on whether and how to extend lines of credit during this crisis.
