In case you missed it, the State Department has designated January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the passing of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act.

If you are implementing Federal projects overseas, you should have a countering trafficking in persons (C-TIP) compliance plan in place to assure staff are aware of the risks and how to report them. Compliance plans should be based, in part, on State’s annual Trafficking In Persons (TIP) report. Access the latest report here.
