The Lead IG for Operation Enduring Sentinel (Afghanistan) issued its Quarterly Report to Congress for the period April 1 – June 30, 2024. The report details ongoing program and oversight activities of the lead OIGs of DoD, State, and USAID. Among the audits being conducted or planned are:
- Oversight of funds provided to PIOs for reconstruction
- USG staffing to accomplish reconstruction objectives
- State and USAID efforts to reduce gender-based violence
- USAID’s use of third-party monitoring and evaluation efforts
The report also includes information on allegations received with corruption topping the list at 47%, followed by product substitution (14%), procurement fraud (14%), program integrity (14%), theft (5%) and human trafficking (5%).
