A recent blog by Baker McKenzie in Global Compliance News highlights the value of the Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to organizations beginning to develop an AI compliance program. The framework offers broad principles (e.g., safe, secure, privacy-enhancing, fair with harmful bias managed) that will accommodate most organizations using AI. Governance of the AI function is essential as it enables the mapping, measurement, and management of AI risk.
