President Trump has submitted 22 rescission proposals to Congress, seeking to end funding for $9.4 billion in programs that are purportedly “wasteful” and “antithetical to American interests.” The proposed rescissions include foreign assistance at the Department of State and USAID, the United States Institute of Peace, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
