A group of 26 current and former USAID employees and Personal Services Contractors (PSCs) filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The lawsuit claims that Musk’s role as head of DOGE is unconstitutional because he hasn’t been confirmed by the Senate, violating the Appointments Clause of the Constitution. Musk’s actions have allegedly caused chaos within USAID, affecting foreign aid initiatives and putting employees’ careers, reputation and personal safety at risk.
