In addition to the class deviation for Part 33, the FAR Council has released deviations for FAR Part 9 (Contractor Qualifications), Part 46 (Quality Assurance), and Part 49 (Termination of Contracts).
- The revisions to Part 9 have shifted and reorganized Sections 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3 to streamline the requirements. Section 9.4 on Debarment and Suspension and 9.5 on Conflicts of Interest have been updated with plain language edits.
- Part 46 has been updated for clarity and usability. Sections on “Contractor Responsibilities” and “Authority for use of warranties” has been removed as redundant or unnecessary.
- Part 49 has been edited throughout to enhance readability and remove redundant or unclear provisions. Sections on “Government assistant in settling subcontracts,” “Cost principles,” and “Completion by another contractor” have been removed and may be moved to non-regulatory content.
