The Commerce Department is working on a scheduled assessment of threat information sharing among government agencies and with the private sector, but in the wake of the SolarWinds hack, Microsoft president Brad Smith has already weighed in with a scathing review. He says that government departments are actively undermining information sharing across government agencies, complaining that the government is “restricting through its contracts our ability to let even one part of the federal government know what other part has been attacked.”
