According to a recent article in Nonprofit Quarterly, more than half of nonprofits have begun harnessing the opportunities available through artificial intelligence. Yet surprisingly, less than 10 percent have implemented any policy governing its use. This governance gap creates potential risks for organizations and the vulnerable communities they serve, including algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, legal exposure, and risks inherent in using off-the-shelf AI platforms.
