The Department of Justice’s Criminal Division has issued a memorandum outlining its new enforcement priorities and policies for prosecuting corporate and white-collar crime in the Trump Administration. The memo states that the division’s top priority is waste, fraud, abuse in federal programs, and procurement fraud. In furtherance of these new priorities, the division is also amending its whistleblower pilot program to add new crimes whistleblowers can report for awards, including sanctions offenses, tariff fraud, and procurement fraud. Moreover, the memo states that DOJ will revise its voluntary self-disclosure policy to provide additional benefits for companies that report misconduct and cooperate.
