Roderick Watson, a former USAID Contracting Officer, admitted to accepting bribes to influence decisions on $552.5 million worth of government contracts. He manipulated the procurement process for over a dozen contracts in a decadelong conspiracy. Watson and Walter Barnes III, founder of PM Consulting Group, later known as Vistant, both pleaded guilty in federal court.
