With summer approaching, some employers may be looking to bring in interns during their break from school. Internships are great as they provide students with real-world training and experience, which supplements the learning that they get in the classroom. For employers, they are able to give back to the community, help a student gain experience, and they may even find a valuable future employee. However, care must be taken in how an employer uses interns, especially if it is an unpaid internship. Keep in mind that despite the current context of the development industry, there are still large numbers of students who aspire to make a difference in this world as development professionals.
