The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has focused heavily on USAID. It sent thousands of employees home and took the agency name off the door. Now USAID contractors are left with lots of unpaid invoices. Meanwhile, the CR expires on March 14th and its unclear if a budget will be passed, the CR expended, or how Congress may use budget negotiations to support or rein-in DOGE-driven cuts.
