We’ve been hearing rumors about an FAR rewrite for the last couple of weeks. A new GSA announcement confirms that FAR 2.0 is on the horizon. The revisions will eliminate burdensome and outdated requirements, remove non-statutory rules, and replace them with practical buying guides and plain-language regulations. The GSA announcement links to already-revised FAR parts and deviation guides that agencies can adopt immediately.
