Public Procurement International – In the midst of the uproar that surrounded the Trump administration’s tariffs, the White House quietly released an executive summary of a (non-public) comprehensive report to the President on trade policy, including on “Buy American” policies in procurement. The report received little attention in the press, perhaps because it was so technical. But in this post, Christopher Yukins explains how the report provides insights into the White House’s approach to the WTO World Procurement Agreement, reciprocal defense procurement agreements, and foreign subsidy regulation.
