Sheppard Mullin – On January 20 and 21, 2025, President Trump signed two executive orders focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs: EO 14151, “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing” and EO 14173, “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit‐Based Opportunity”. While the EOs have broad-ranging impacts on federal contractors in several areas, this blog focuses on the potential impacts specific to small businesses generally and to large businesses via small business subcontracting.
