Federal News Network – The Trump Administration is undertaking the most significant restructuring of U.S diplomatic and international assistance programs since the end of WWII. This restructuring, as defined by President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, is intended to reduce costs, eliminate redundancies, and produce a more efficient and effective State Department in support of the President’s America First foreign policy. Historically, the U.S. private sector has been a key partner in the execution of American diplomacy, and, as the department returns its focus to its essential diplomatic mission, we believe that this partnership will be even more critical moving forward.
