Compliance Podcast Network – Tom Fox begins a five-part series on building a stronger culture of compliance by stepping back and discussing what corporate culture consists of.

Fox notes that two years ago, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco announced the DOJ will assess corporate culture as a part of any corporate compliance enforcement action, underscoring its importance. Drawing upon input from Yvette Hollingsworth-Clark of Diligent, he argues that while it is a primary responsibility of the compliance function, it is owned by the entire C-suite and executed throughout the organization. “CEOs must lead by example and set expectations, while the board plays a significant role in shaping and overseeing culture,” he asserts.
