Final Rule for CMMC Effectiveness Expected in a Month

Katie Arrington of the DoD’s acquisition office says that the final Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) rule to formally put the CMMC in force will get its final tweaks within the next month or so. The interim final rule issued in December has received many comments from industry that DoD has been working to adjudicate. One of the biggest questions is about reciprocity between CMMC and other federal cyber compliance programs, which Arrington says will be addressed in upcoming CMMC Assessment Guides that DoD is working on.
