Langevin Says DoD Needs Principal Cyber Advisor Appointed ASAP for CMMC

Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI) is calling on the Biden administration to fill the vacant position of Principal Cyber Advisor for the Department of Defense, arguing that the vacancy is an obstacle to the success of the CMMC. “We need a PCA to help oversee implementation of CMMC and to ensure that relevant threat information is being shared with the defense sector as quickly as possible,” Langevin said. Small business representatives testifying before the House Small Business Committee’s panel on oversight, investigations and regulations have described a disjointed and unreliable system of communication about program details.
