White House Forms United Coordination Group to Tackle Microsoft Breach

Last week, the White House announced the formation of a Unified Coordination Group tasked with leading the government’s response to the recent hack of Microsoft Exchange email servers. The group will include representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, CISA, and ODNI, and will receive support from the National Security Agency. The group has already begun its work and has met with representatives from Microsoft and other firms. According to White House press secretary Jen Psaki, the group “discussed the remaining number of unpatched systems, malicious exploitation and ways to partner together on incident response.”
